Anya tagged me. I’ll tag NJ, Shelley, TJ and Charli

Turn to page 123 in your work-in-progress. (If you haven’t gotten to page 123 yet, then turn to page 23. If you haven’t gotten there yet, then get busy and write page 23.) Count down four sentences and then instead of just the fifth sentence, give us the whole paragraph.

I’ll do that and give you a teeny bit more from Goddess With A Blade…

He jerked his head, gesturing at the room. “I get here, three floors below and Ben is there, telling me you’ve moved. What did you do to warrant this place, Rowan?”

His lips were so close to hers she felt his words as he spoke.

“It was a bonus from my employer. I just returned the day before yesterday. I called you last night but you weren’t in. Did you miss me?” She couldn’t help but ask.

He pressed into her harder, leaving no doubt. “What do you think? And you didn’t answer my question, where’ve you been?”

Her heart rate kicked up into overdrive and breathing rated a whole lot higher on the scale of important things to do. Okay, time to go. So, why weren’t her legs carrying her the hell out of the damned hot tub?”

  2. Okay - here’s mine from a very rough draft of House of the Cat.

Camryn fumed silently while she followed the infuriating man. She tried to pay attention to their surroundings, the bright flitting butterflies and contrasting dull-colored birds. Most of the birds seemed to run along the ground rather than fly. Although their surroundings were beautiful, her gaze kept returning to the alien. She kept remembering his hot urgent touch on her bare breasts, the stroke of his fingers between her legs when he teased her swollen folds. Camryn shuddered at the memory, and was immediately angry with the reaction. It was good sex. It meant nothing. Nothing.

  3. LOL This is fun!

  4. Wooo! Looks like I picked the right pages for you two!
