As most of you know, I’ve been traveling for work. After travelling all day, and I mean ALL day on Friday trying to get home, I was a zombie-walking, non-typing, totally out of it…something or other. After running my daughter around on errands, which I don’t quite remember, I was talking to my son Saturday night. I couldn’t think of a single thing to blog about so like any good mother with fried brains, I asked him to give me a blog subject.
His answer - “How do you like your eggs and why?”
Of course, I’m too tired to think there was anything the least bit wrong with this subject…so let’s just go with it.
His next question was, “And what do you like on them?” He likes ‘em scrambled with a dash of salt and a little bit of pepper. Absolutely no ketchup. But he will do the occasional dollop of Mrs. Butterworth’s pancake syrup. Go figure.
To finish the subject, I asked, “Why do you like scrambled eggs?”
“Cuz they taste better than runny,” he said. Then he gave me that ‘duh’ look that only teenagers can pull off. You know, the look that makes you feel a hundred years old and three times as dumb?
So, since this is an author blog, let’s make it interesting (as if it weren’t already interesting enough, eh?) - In my Ellora’s Cave Torrid Tarot book, Egyptian Voyage, the bad guy is a chic, debonair, older gentleman with the charm and good looks of Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan. His name is Eden Pall, and I’d like to know how you think he’d like his eggs.
EGYPTIAN VOYAGE BLURB: Chrysalyn Geyer couldn’t have been more miffed with her boss for sending her on a mandatory three month vacation. On a private residence cruise ship, she prepared herself for what was sure to be pure boredom. Then he appeared - Rognlie Benson. What was he doing here? And while her spirit guide was happy to see the man, Chrys couldn’t see past knocking him senseless for breaking her heart the last time she’d seen him.
But Ron is determined to do anything to win Chrys back, including protect her from the crazed but refined looking gentleman quietly stalking her from port to port. Besides, he wouldn’t be a good undercover agent if he didn’t at least do a little work while he tried to ‘work’ his way past Chrys’ bed and into her heart. Even if he must keep a few deadly secrets to do it.
