Don’t That Beat All? Woohoo!

Well, after all the wondering about my mom’s wedding I decided to go. She’s 74 and this is probably the last time she’ll have a big ceremony. She’s been married once in her life (hell, I can’t even claim that one) and is only single again because her husband passed away years ago.

And now, she’s found the man of her dreams…and they aren’t getting married now!

Right as I was buying my plane tickets, I received a phone call. All is well but something ‘came up’ that caused them to postpone the ceremony. So, I don’t have to worry about any tense situations in regard to meeting my husband’s girlfriend at mom’s wedding after all. Wahooo!

Now understand, it’s not that I’m happy she’s not getting married this weekend, but I do appreciate the Universe looking out for me. And since she’s not upset about having to postpone, I’m not upset either.

I kept telling myself, this is going to work out for the best. I’m not going to worry. Think positive.

They’re still going on their honeymoon and she’s keeping all the new dresses she just bought! So don’t’ be surprised to find a bunch of pictures of a little white haired lady on this blog in the near future!

And now on to less serious, but no less necessary, things. A fabulous author friend, Carolan Ivey, has a post up on her blog at “RT Convention Veterans” that is downright hilarious. Be warned: Make sure you’re not drinking anything while you read it. I just couldn’t stop laughing. And lord knows we ALL need laughter. It’s like medicine - a good laugh can cure anything. So here’s my present to you for the day!
