A Taste of Kiwi

I thought I’d give you a taste of the New Zealand entertainment industry today. Black Sheep is a horror/black comedy. Weta Productions did the special effects in the movie (the same company that did Lord of the Rings). I haven’t seen it yet, but it’s out on DVD here in NZ in a few days and I can’t wait. I’ve seen the previews and it looks great - if you like your horror with a touch of tongue in cheek comedy. It’s filmed in the Wairarapa district and the director/writer is Jonathan King. One of the male actors, Tammy Davis is also in my favorite weekly drama show, Outrageous Fortune.

Tagline: Get ready for the Violence of the Lambs!

Black Sheep

Outrageous Fortune is my weekly must view program. It’s set in West Auckland and is about a family who used to live a life of crime but are trying to clean up. It’s in series three at the moment and has been so popular I believe they’re filming another season. The series has sold overseas, and in England, they’re making their own version. Outrageous Fortune is full of NZ humor and great Kiwi music. It’s also full of swearing and there’s a little bit of nudity. Yep, it’s definitely not PC. Below is the trailer for season three.

And finally, over at my blog I have a question about vampires. If you have time please come on over and give me an answer to my vampire question.
